How to disable OGA update KB 949810 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I use Office 2000 on a Windows XP Professional PC. A few days ago OGA update KB949810 appeared as an automatic update. It fails to install, but consntantly nags me to update. OGA doesn't apply to Office 2000, so how can I deactivate this Automatic Update from affecting me?

  • Hello Shifty Geezer,

Download the update and proceed with the installation process, up to the point where you would agree to the End User Licensing Agreement.  At this point decline the agreement.  You will not be asked to install again until Microsoft releases a new version of the update, which is expected once every 3-4 months.
