Windows No longer genuine build 7601 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Out of nowhere I get an error that my windows 7 may be counterfeit. I purchased this online from microsoft store when W7 was just released. About 7 months ago my motherboard broke and after replacing it I had to call in to get it activated. That option is no longer available.

  • I  got the new key and fixed the issue. They said that the last update is what caused the issue. I may have been the 2 thousand-ish caller. He mentioned something to do with bargain-bin refunding keys. Sorry I didn't understand what he meant as I was happy that they were sending out new key.
