Earlier today, my computer notified me that it had contracted a Trojan SPM/LX virus or worm. I got repetitive warnings. I also noticed that when I clicked on a thumbnail jpg in my pictures folder, I got another virus warning. The thumbnail would not enlarge. Also, when I clicked 'control panel' and went to 'display', my 'themes', 'screen saver', 'appearance' and 'settings' were fine, but the 'desktop' was messed up. I usually point to a photo in 'my pictures' to use as 'background', but now 'background', 'browse' and 'position' are greyed out and not working. The little monitor screen is whitened out. I've run McAfee and Ad-Aware scans, and rebooted the system. While that seems to have addressed the 'warnings' and the thumbnail issues, the problem still persists with the 'display desktop'. Does anyone know of a way to resolve this problem?
