CRM/Outlook Sync Issue RRS feed

  • I have a laptop that has got itself in a bit of a muddle.

    Within outlook, CRM is coming up as offline but on the task bar, the CRM logo is appearing as online. And now, when i go to go online/offline, i am getting an SQL time out error.

    Before this happened, i was setting the laptop up for a rep and had no issues when synching his data, apart from the last piece of data needed. The Outlook/CRM sync process hung and i had to end the task. I nelieve this has caused Outlook/CRM to get out of sync. My problem now is that i cannot get the client online to allow me to change the download settings.

    I understand that after reading through the above again that it sounds very confusing, but im hoping that someone out there understands and can point me in the right direction!!!!

  • One thing to try is to delete the registry value:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MSCRMClient\UserReplicationID

     

    This will reset the Outlook client, though may well cause the loss of any data changes that might have been made offline
