update modified by in entity

Hi friends,

In my crm application, when the user open the record in a particular entity, am updating other entities fields but i can not update modifiedby user which i wish. Instead of it showing the current user as a modified by user. Can any one suggest me a solution. Thanks in advance,

Hello Arun,

There is not supported way to set modified by field, this is automatically set by system, so if you want to trace who updated this required may be you can create another lookup and specifically set that field for your tracking purpose ?
