  • Boot into safe mode and log in to the default administrator account. Select Start>Run and type "msconfig" without the quotes in the Run box. When the system configuration utility opens sleect Diagnostic Startup on the General tab. Select Apply and OK. Restart the computer normally then uninstall One Care. After One Care is uninstalled and the computer is restarted open the system configuration utility again and select "Normal Startup",apply and OK. Restart the computer.

I suggest contacting support to help identify what might have caused this issue. How to reach support - http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsOneCare/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2421771&SiteID=2

  • This can happen if you had other antivirus software installed and active while OneCare was installed. At boot, both programs are conflicting and preventing Windows from starting, if this is the case.
