    Hi, 

    I am a MCSD and MCPD EA for .NET 2.0. 

    I took the two upgrade exams to get my MCPD from MCSD so I did not take 70-356. 

    I just want to know if I finished both upgarde exams and achieved MCPD, does that mean that I also have creadit for 70-356 exam?

    The reason I am asking is that I am planning to finish MCPD .NET 3.5 but I decide not to take the upgrade from 2.0 to 3.5.

    I am wondering do I still need to take 70-356 if I am a MCPD 2.0 EA but do not have 70-356 in my transcript.

    The good news is that yes you have fulfilled the requirements for 70-536 even tho it is not on your transcript.

    70-553 counts as 70-536 in this case.

    You will not take 70-536 for .NET Framework 3.5 certifications. MCPD: Enterprise Application Developer certification requirements already archived 70-536.

    You can prepare Exam 70-568 (MCPD EA to MCPD EA 3.5 Part 1) and Exam 70-569 (MCPD EA to MCPD EA 3.5 Part 2) to upgrade to MCPD: Enterprise Application Developer 3.5.
