WebComp validation: WebComp not installed RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I discovered that OOF message keeps being displayed in the Communicator, even though it disabled on Exchange.

During troubleshooting I realized that during Web Components Validation, I got Error: WebComp not installed.

I know for sure that I have it installed, but the Validation gives the error.

Any ideas on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,
    Victor

  • Hi,

I ended up uninstalling and re-installing Web Components.

After re-installing Web Components, I got the following error on the Web Components Validation:

    URL: https://server.domain.com/Abs/Int/Handler/D-0b61-0b62.dabs
Received a failure HTTP response.: HTTP Response: 500 Internal Server Error
    Content-Length:3315
    Cache-Control:private
    Content-Type:text/html; charset=utf-8
    Date:Wed, 21 Jan 2009 21:47:08 GMT
    Server:Microsoft-IIS/6.0
    X-AspNet-Version:2.0.50727
    X-Powered-By:ASP.NET

Received a failure HTTP response.: InternalServerError
Suggested Resolution: Check whether the Web Server or Office Communications Server component is running and also listening on the specified url. If server is behind a load balancer, please make sure the loopback connection is allowed from load balancer FQDN.
Suggested Resolution: Check the Web Proxy setting in this machine and ensure that it is correctly configured

Any help fixing this problem will be greatly appreciated...

(The problem with 'Out Of Office' message still appearing on Communicator after the user reset it in Outlook did not get fixed by reinstalling Web Components)

    Thank you in advance,
    Victor
