CRM 2013: Adding a new server to existing IFD RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I have IFD implemented on my servers for CRM 2011. Now, I want to add a new CRM 2013 server and configure IFD for it.

    2011 already uses a wild-card certificate.

I have imported certificate on CRM 2013 server and configured CLaims based authentication.

    My question is:

    1. Do I need to create new DNS entries for my CRM 2013 IFD ?

    2. Do I need to  add and configure claimers provider trusts and relaying party trusts in ADFS again?

    3. Other than above 2, is there any other task I need to do on DNS or ADFS server.

    Thanks

  • It sounds like you want to have a CRM 2011 deployment, and a separate CRM 2013 deployment. Is this is the case ? If so, I think you can make this work using the same base domain (though you'd have to test it).

You will need new DNS entries. Otherwise, how could a client connect to the CRM 2013 server ? And you will need to set the trusts up for the second deployment
