CRM 2013 server installation issue (404 - File or directory not found, The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable) RRS feed

  • Dear All, 

    I have installed CRM 2013 and have ended up with the above error!!  this appears only in the Activity feed area.. 

    and also while opening customization form i get the below error!! there is no code or customization done!! this is fresh installation scenario. 

    also some icons are gone missing!!

    I have even tried re installing CRM  - the same error appears again!!

  • create a new organization and browse after creation. do you see those errors also?

    And check with F12 in Internet Explorer what URL exactly is receiving 404.

    Tried that too - created a new organization,the same error is repeating!! 

    pressed f12 and this is what i got!!!

    it seems that you have missed something during installation and prerequesites..

    I would try sp1 and sp1cu1 but if this will not fix:

    Try to repair your installation and all prerequesites.

    Tried all that, even un-installed and re-installed the system.

    updated IIS updates used Microsoft FIX IT.

    Repaired Installation too :( 

    the last way i am looking into is to re-image the cloud server :(

  • before you re-image you should delte all activity feeds and than re-add them..

    but this is only for one organization so fresh set up of system..
