I cannot get the media libraries to see any of my media files. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have added several files to my server, however when I log into my web site my media library is empty. Is there anything I could have overlooked? I can see my files in shared folders.

  • Yes, the streaming is enabled. It is all working now.

This is strange LM. Please log a bug with server logs.

Here's some things you can try:

    1) go to dashboard, turn off media streaming, and turn on again. Make sure the pictures and music folders are shared.

    2) try copy more media files over to server.

    Let's see whether it works.

  • When you put media files into your video folders and log into website to view, the only files you will see are avi and mp4 files and some other common streamables ones, files with mkv and h264? extensions will not be visible as it can not be streamed properly due to the way it was setup ask the vail team about that though I have no idea idea why.

  • I had the same problem until I did the following:

Start "Windows Media Player" on the home server. Cick on "Manage my libraries". Then I added the server folder/drive where the pictures are located to the "picture library". I did the same for the Video and Music and now they all show up.
