Windows Product ID: 00426-066-1566827-86154
The product ID -066- Indicates a not for resale MSDN account. If you are not the account holder and you purchased this in a retail box, the box and it's contents are counterfeit. Demand an immediate refund from the seller

hi and thanks ,
after reformatting I tried to install a windows ultimate which has not come with this machine and as you say now apparently is fake.
Ok.
It is a ASUS N81J laptop which came with windows 7 home prem and the
original key on the back is;
<Removed>
now that I have installed the fake windows ultimate this original key will not work either
Any clues how I can revert to the original windows 7 home prem and make the orig. key work
???

Never post your product key on a public forum
Your computer should have a recovery partition which will reinstall your computer to an as shipped state. Make sure you have backups as this will wipe your disk. See your documentation or your manufactures website for instructions. You can also order OEM recovery disks from your manufactuere.
Your COA key is for home premium and won't work for ultimate.

ok.
in the mean time I found that the backup folder "windows.old" which is automatically created
when a new window is installed still exists in drive "C" and I wonder if it is possible to recover
my original windows system from there ??
I yes, how ??

I don't know the answer to that. Post your question on the Answers forum and I'm sure you will get the appropriate answer.
