Is my windows 7 key valid,or not?

I recently bought two laptops for my husband and I. He just informed me that his windows 7 product key is invalid. I want to know if mine is too, even though I have had no warnings like he did.

Your installation of Windows is counterfeit - it is using the ACER OEM_SLP Key for Windows 7 Ultimate, while the machine itself is a DELL, built in 2006/7 (over two years before Windows 7 was launched).
OEM_SLP Keys are valid ONLY when used on a machine which shipped with that manufacturer's Recovery media for that version of Windows - this machine may have shipped with Windows XP, let alone Windows Vista - but certainly could not have shipped with Windows 7.
You should demand a refund from the vendor.
Please post an MGADiag report from the other machine so we can check that.

While your copy of Windows 7 Ultimate is not yet flagged as non-genuine, in all likelihood it is non-genuine. Your Dell Inspiron was built in 2006, three years before Windows 7 was released. I would suggest that you purchase a genuine Windows 7 edition and perform a "clean install".
