Run Synctoy under multiple logins or when all users logged off RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to get synctoy to run under these conditions (see title) by launching it from Cobian Backup. Cobian is backing up (to a password encrypted zip file) to a folder on the local c drive (Win 7 64bit) from a Buffalo Link Station folder. I am using a vbs file - launched by Cobian at the end of its final backup job - to launch Synctoy so that it runs silently (no user interface). I am using Synctoy to copy the zip files to a removeable pen drive.

I can launch the vbs file manually and Synctoy runs ok, but it does not copy the cobian zip files when launchedfrom Cobian (although Cobian does report that it did launch it). Cobian runs as a service and will run whether users are logged on or not.

I just want to get Synctoy to run as Cobian does under these scenarios. The help says Synctoy should run with:

    • No one is currently logged into the machine.
    • A different user is logged into the machine.

Does anyone have a solution to this?

    Many thanks.
