delete live ID of the user RRS feed

  • Question

  • I imported a list of users into the system. By mistake some LiveID´s are incorrect e-mail addresses (blank in the e-mail address)

    Question 1:

Now I tried to change the LiveID by using the core functionality. The system brings an alert that I have to type in a correct e-mail adress before I get to the screen where I can type in the new LiveID. Is there a solution for this?

    Question 2:

The Live ID is the same as the primary e-mail Address. Can I change the Live ID to the primary e-mail address in some kind of a bulk update?

  • I haven't run into a LiveID with blanks in the e-mail address - I would contact CRM Support regarding this one.

From a past incident similar to this - we just create another new user and invite it out.  The disable user account was "recycle" for another user by updating the user info to another new user.

  • I know that we can Change the LiveID of a CRM Online user record via the UI >> User record >> Action >> Change Window Live ID.

I just tried it via the UI with both a valid AND invalid LiveID and it worked on my end.  Is this not working on your end?

I don't think you can perform a "bulk" update of existing LiveID currently.

  • It did not work on my end.

In my scenario I have a LiveID with blanks in the e-mail Address.

Currently I deactivated the users. It is not possible to activate them again as the system prompts a message that I have to enter a valid e-mail address for the LiveID which is not possible.
