Using my CRM contacts as Outlook contacts in order to sync with smartphones RRS feed

  • Question

  • HI,

I would like to use sync my CRM contacts with my Outlook contacts that way all of our company phones will have the CRM contacts loaded on them. Currently I am exporting the CRM contacts to a CSV file then importing them into Outlook. I want a live sync, that way we will always have the most current records.

Can this be done with spending money on a third party app?

    We use Outlook 2007

  • In Outlook, in the CRM menu, you will find Options.  On the Synchronization tab of options, you can set whether contacts are synchronized between Outlook and CRM.  Using the local data, you can further define which contacts are synched, I believe the default is whatever active contacts the user owns.  This sync would happen every 15 minutes by default.

If you mobile devices list your Outlook contacts, then you should be all set and any changes made to a contact on the mobile device would be reflected in CRM after the synch occurs.
