Buying a laptop in Thailand

Im considering buying a sony laptop from Thailand, but am not sure whether it would be fully compatible in england. For example the version of windows that comes with it; will it be in Thai only? If so, is it easy to get an english copy of windows vista? Is it easy to change the language of the keyboard? Are there any other things I need to check before buying? Thanks for your help. Mat
