Lack of memory RRS feed

  • Question

  • We recently signed up for the dynamics crm.  when we began adding users and attaching quotes to contacts the initial amount of memory (5gig) was well short of what we would need.  is there a solution other than buying at $10 per gig?  I am disappointed that as you add users (at a per month charge) that you don't get additional memory included in the purchase of the additional seats.

  • Wow, sorry to hear that.

Some ideas (besides paying the $10 per gig):

    1. Find out what are the records that are taking up the most space - usually it's the file attachments

    2. Review how the file attachments/records are being store (multiple versions, only the final version, multiple user loading the same document) - cleanup the "duplicatates" and train/monitor folks on when to attach

    3. Check out Microsoft SharePoint online to help store the documents since SharePoint Online is more optimize for document management and lower cost - this is a practical solution for some of our customers.

    4. Use the Tool >> "Bulk Deletion Wizard" to remove records no longer needed
