Automatically adjust volume RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I often find myself in the following situation: I go into a meeting, or a movie, or some other setting where I need to turn down my volume. Afterward, I will forget to adjust the volume back up. As a result, I miss calls, notifications, reminders, etc.

What I'd love is the ability to have "snooze-like" muting. I click a button and the volume is muted for an adjustable period of time (similar to the Snooze on my alarm clock, or the Sleep function on a TV where I can adjust the time in 30 minute intervals).

Another scenario is the Windows Mobile device on the night stand. It's a bit difficult to get a good night's sleep when I've got an LED blinking (an LED that somehow seems to rival stadium lighting in brightness) and notification chortles. I'd like a way to tell the WinMo device to "shut up" until a certain time.

Any tools out there to facilitate these scenarios?

    WM7?
