umpmfaq.info off to join the Dodo Bird

As discussed in a posting several months back, the time has come when I must retire the umpmfaq.info site. Select content from it has been migrated to one of my other sites, http://littlegreengecko.com/MSMstuff, and most of the remaining content will be removed shortly. Redirect support TBD, and a 404 page with the new site address, will be provided for old links as an ongoing project. The domain will stay valid, email through the @umpmfaq.info email address will still reach me--though I check it rarely--and the redirects will stay live until late March of 2017.

Thanks for your kind words.

The redirects I was thinking of doing are all in place now. That goes as far as, if my testing was valid, redirecting parameterized queries to the old db page (e.g., http://umpmfaq.info/faqdb?q=104) to the bookmarks in the full form rehosted HTML FAQ.

I'm going to set a reminder for myself to remove all the redirect stuff and go straight for the 404 page in nine months or so.

It seems unlikely, but if there is any content I didn't redirect that somebody would like on the new site, let me know.
