Hello shawn88,
You are attempting to install a Dell OEM copy of Windows XP Home onto a Gateway computer.
This is ill not work.
Please contact tech support or customer service for Gateway and ask if they can send you Recovery or Re-installation CD for your Gateway Computer. Using the manufacturer's specific and exact recovery CD gives you the best chance of an error-free, virus and other malware-free installation, and will result in your computer once again passing any and all validation screenings.

Hello shawn88,
Note that your XP is currently using a OEM SLP Product Key (the key that comes pre-installed in XP's that come pre-installed on ready built computers) if the Support Doc that AivarsL posted doesn't work, you may need to use the Product Key found on the COA sticker on the side or bottom of the computer (known as the COA SLP key). You may be able to switch out the key using the Product Key Update Tool found at http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/selfhelp/pkuinstructions.aspx. Otherwise to change keys you would need to reinstall XP using the COA SLP key.
Thank you,
