Not receiving Alerts

  I have configured Alerts to be sent by e-mail.
  
  When I ask a question in a forum (like this one I'm writing now), I check the box at the bottom that says "Alert me when someone responds to this post." Responses get posted, and I never receive any alerts.

  patience , it can take several hours before you will get one , there are delays , ...
  
  check also your ' alerts ' in messenger , it could be for example that you have a ' quit ' period or so , ...

  It's not about patience - I've waited several days at times and still no alerts.
  
  I do not have alerts configured for Messenger.

  Are you not getting alerts still? Can you file a support case so our support team can track this issue.

  I'm still getting nowhere on this issue. I cannot get alerts for anything - this forum - or even just signing up for one of the alert subscriptions (like Newsweek for example).

  I filled out the support case like you asked, but then I received an e-mail saying they couldn't help and passing me to the MSDN Subscription team. Of course I got an e-mail from them saying they couldn't help either.

  Please let me know what to do. If you give me an e-mail or phone number, I'm happy to get in touch with you directly.
