  Not a good idea because the buttons on the phone won't work any way so they have to work in new ways

  Best is to have a USB phone device that looks like a phone

  I understand it is not the (best) way to go, but some customers really want it and may help them to switch to OCS. I do not understand why you say the buttons  won't work. You only have numbers and * and # signs, but it should be posible to dial telephone numbers and answer using the OCS SDK, as you doo with Skype, for example.

   

  Would like to hear opinions about people who have used devices similar to the one I referred in the original post, but I guess there are not many

  I don't use skype, and skype maybe understands touchtone phones

  But OCS does not recognize any tones it just works with numbers that work via sip messages

   

  I highly doubt that you would ever get this to work

   

  In my opinion it is better to educate your customer, if they choose a 21st century UC Platform that they have to go with the right phones.
