Live One Care shows update error when there is none RRS feed

    I consistently have a yellow alert for my One care circle due to one computer running windows xp not updated. however when I go to this computer and press the button-"go to website" the status chnages to green-ok immediately so it seems updates are being made but not being regsitered with Live One Care?

  • No, what is happening is that OneCare immediately goes to green because you clicked the link to go to Windows Update. However, OneCare then checks to see that the available updates are shown to be installed and goes back to red again later. It's kind of stupid, actually. It seems to me that it should not go green until after the missing updates have been installed, however, that isn't the way it works.

    Go to Windows Update and check for updates. Also, review the update history on the Windows Update page to see if any updates are shown as failed.
