SyncToy 2.0 Errors RRS feed

  • Question

  • I just downloaded and installed Synctoy 2.0.  When I do a sync, I get the following errors when I get to certain files:

Exception during preview: Not a valid Win32 FileTime.  Parameter name: fileTime

Can anyone provide any advice on this?  If I delete the file where this occurs, I get another one on another file.  In my case, I am sync'ing photos.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.,

  • This is a known issue that we're looking at fixing for an upcoming release and happens when rogue (or should I say mis-behaving) applications set invalid date time values when they update files. For now the only way to "fix it" is to find the offending files. See this other thread for extensive discussion of this issue:

  • Are all of the files in the folders just photos?

Are there any other files in the folder.

Can you try any other folder with say some text files and see if that works? or copy some pictures from this folder pair to anohter one and sync that.

What platform are you on x86 or x64?
