    That said, there appear to be no problems with either activation or validation with your machine.

    Please use Internet Explorer to access the downloads site - there appears to be a problem with the compatibility with other browsers at the moment.

  • Thank you.  Although I thought I had tried the entire process in IE, I realized that at some point it had been switching to Firefox.  I was able to validate successfully when I made sure to stay in IE, so thank you for that.  Unfortunately, now I'm having a different issue with the Microsoft Component Installer for Windows, and I still haven't been able to successfully install anything.  I've posted that problem in a different part of the forum, and I'm hoping they will be able to help me.
