Customer in Case Crm 2011 Online RRS feed

  • Hello,

    I ve created a simple workflow to convert email to case. At the moment customer is automatically listed as Test Account. I am not able to assign the sender of the email (contact) as a customer in the newly created ticket. I have read tutorials about creating custom workflows but I am using crm 2011 online and it seems I cannot use those.

    The final functionality I would like to achieve is that an email is send to the customer when the initial email is converted to a ticket/ or has been assigned to the technician. Any ideas anyone?

    You are correct. Custom workflows (Workflow assemblies) are not possible in CRM Online (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg309745.aspx).

    Regarding the final functionality, you would need to create an workflow that triggers on the correct create or change field on Case entity, that in turn creates email you want to send to the client.
