  • One thing you don't do is SHOUT.

The other thing you do is to post questions that people can understand.

What do you mean here by "How do I identify the forum". Which forum?

Do you mean "How do I decide which forum is suitable for my question" - you do that by reading both the forum names *and* the forum descriptions and looking at some of the posts which have already been sent to the forum.

How do you get an immediate response: you don't use forums if you want immediate reponses, you realise that a forum is supported by people like yourself working in their own time. Such people will answer the questions they can; when and if they have time to do so.

Also note that writing that something is urgent or you want the answer asap is counter-productive. Some people refuse to consider questions where they are being pushed in this way; some Moderators will delete posts with Urgent in the Titles because forums are not for urgent posts.

If you want fast responses don't use the forums but ring MS Customer Support Services or if they are available to you contact premium services or write to the partner newsgroups.
