Obviously, Windows 7 doesn't consider a RDP session work and will go to sleep during the session if set in the power options. Getting it to wake up is a royal PIA. Eventually, after banging on the keyboard and moving the mouse it wakes up but the monitors stay asleep! I had to do a complete power off because reset had no effect. When it booted back up the NIC was not working. I booted to Ubuntu and the NIC was OK. Booted back to Windows and after a time the NIC shows green. Guess I'll have to go back to manual sleep!
