which forum to report windows software incompatability

    Question

  • On the web there are reports of windows 10 version 1607 windows defender offline WDO blue screen boot loops.

    This unexpectedly happened to one of my computers and I have multiple computers at risk for going into WDO blue screen boot loops.

    On another computer I was able to reproduce the WDO blue screen boot loop.

    On the same computer I deleted the partitions and performed a clean install of windows 10.

    Then with a clean install of windows 10 professional I again reproduced the WDO blue screen boot loop.

    These then are 3 episodes of WDO blue screen boot loop, one unexpected and two that were reproducible.

    What is the best way to provide this feedback so that it can be researched and fixed?

  • This is a Microsoft software problem so I was seeking an email method to communicate directly with a Microsoft researcher so a future update could fix or another software program could fix the incompatibility between the two Microsoft software programs.

  • The problem software is Windows defender OFFLINE that was integrated into Windows 10 version 1607.

    If you use Windows driver verifier to check for misbehaving drivers then use windows defender OFFLINE and then use windows driver verifier again it always produces a Windows defender OFFLINE blue screen boot loop.  All recovery methods fail.  The only option is to reinstall the operating system.
