  • Hello Vixenman,

Did you purchase what you thought was a retail copy of Office Professional 2007?  Did you buy what looked like the usual retail package sold to consumers in stores?  Do the disc(s) inside the package look like real hologrammed installation discs?

    Have a look here:  http://www.microsoft.com/howtotell/category.aspx?displaylang=en&cID=fab9617a-57ff-4789-9397-6dac071b19b0

If you have what might be counterfeit materials, please go to www.microsoft.com/genuine and click on the Validate Office button.  When Office fails validation, look on the that page for links to the Complimentary Replacement Program.  Follow the link to learn how to send your counterfeit copy of Office to Microsoft to be replaced by a complimentary copy.

Your Office 2007 install is based on a Key that was never issued by MS - and must therefore be counterfeit.
You need to attempt to claim a refund from the vendor, and/or purchase a new legal license for Office from a reputable supplier.
