Regarding RollUp Installation Issues RRS feed

    Hi Experts, 

    I would like to know where can I get the following information regarding the Rollup Update 3 installation. I couldnt find a proper procedural documentaion available from Microsoft.Please help me with the following issues:

    1. Planning Activities (Confirm pre-requisite for the Roll-Up etc)
    2. Backup Environment 
        a. Server, 
        b. CRM Database
        c. Export Customizations.
        d. Note Manual Changes Made etc.
    3. Apply the Rollup(Order)
        a. Server
        b. Client
        c. Other etc.
    4. Test Rollup
        a. Test Roll Up for Web Client and Outlook Client
        b. Ensure Manual Changes
        c. Import Customization
        d. Test Manual Changes and Customizations


    Any help would ne highly appreciated.

    I am not sure that the level of detail you are asking for exists.  Rollup 3 is fairly easy to install and I have not run into any issues yet with the exception of making a manual update to the config file on one installation.  If you need it, you can find information about the steps to complete in my threads.

    Planning Activities

    Download all of the required files to SQL and CRM server
    backup your database
    backup your customization file by exporting it

    Install the updates, reboot servers and rollout the update to the client machines.

    The update is fairly straightforward and quickly deployed
