I've tried fixing this reply 5 times and I can not make this post to use proper syntax coloring

How did you try? E.g. using the HTML button? It looks as if you could use the HTML button on a reply to your last post and then modify the colors in it as a test for the necessary syntax. Copy that. Cancel that reply and then try to apply your changes to an Edit of the original?HTH

If this answer proposes manually fixing all colors, then it's too much work. I found another workaround for bad cases. In this case I go to http://www.sqlusa.com/sqlformat/, paste the query, format it, then copy back that formatted version (the colors are preserved).

I've tried 5 more times - same result. I think I'll give up.

You mean manually applying colors?

Yes... seems like a workaround when finding a bug..."It looks as if you could use the HTML button on a reply to your last post and then modify the colors in it as a test for the necessary syntax. Copy that. Cancel that reply and then try to apply your changes to an Edit of the original?"
