Email attachments in CRM 2011

In CRM 4 when I sent out an email with an attachment it would duplicate and store that attachment as many times as there were recipients. Thus an email with a 1MB attachment sent to 1000 people would increase the size of my database by 1 GB. Is this still the case in CRM 2011? I am hoping that by using a template, the system will not copy the attachment onto each email record.

In 2011 the same attachment will only be stored once in the database.
