Azure - Specify existing VirtualNetworkName/Subnet during cluster provisioning template RRS feed

  • Question

  • Trying to follow one of the templates from https://github.com/Azure/hpcpack-template-2016

    (Specifically, Template 3 for No AD, 1 HN)

    When I use the template, it is trying to create *new* VirtualNetwork+Subnet when I provide the names of existing ones. How can I change these two parameters (they belong to another ResourceGroup, that I have access to)?

    For eg., the following lines are modified to point to existing 'mysubnet' and 'myvirtualnetwork' that are pre-existing:

    "addressPrefix": "10.xx.xxx.0/24",
            "subnet1Name": "mysubnet",
            "subnet1Prefix": "10.xx.xxx.0/26",
            "virtualNetworkName": "myvirtualnetwork",

    All I'd like to be able to do is to provision the new cluster with existing virtualnetwork and existing subnet (that are in a different resourcegroup)

    Thanks
