  • Question

  • Hi @ all,

I tryed to update the product Key from Windows XP Media Center wiht the Windows XP Key update tool but it didn't work. Here is the error message:

This application must be run on a supported version of the Windows XP operatig system.

So I let the Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool run through it and here ist what it tells me.

  • Hello Ben,

Unfortunately there is no method or tool available that will allow you to change your product key in Windows XP Media Center Edition.  Your only option will be to perform a clean install of the operating system.  Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with.

    Thank You,
