Validation issue (does not let me copy report) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey everyone. Hope you can be of assistance. My computer was fine up to this morning when it suddenly said I needed to validate windows again. Apart from having my background changed to entirely black and the usual This Copy of Windows is not Genuine message, my computer works just fine. Tried to get the validation error message as requested, but the page just loads indefinitley (I left it running for 13 hours today), so im afraid I can't provide that. Also, when I try to copy the diagnostic report I get an error message that reads:

    Failed to create output files, hr = 0x8007000d. Please contact support.

    Any advice? I could just type out the report, but if there is just a specific part I should provide so I can get some assistance with my validation issue, i'll reply with just that.

    Thank you for your time!

    Thank you! Would've never figured that one on my own. Here's the report.

    Diagnostic Report (1.9.0027.0):
    -----------------------------------------
    Windows Validation Data-->
    Validation Status: Invalid License
    Validation Code: 50
    Cached Online Validation Code: N/A, hr = 0xc004f012

    OEM Activation 2.0 Data-->
    BIOS valid for OA 2.0: no, invalid SLIC table

    OEMID and OEMTableID Consistent: N/A

    For some reason your PC is unable to properly read the SLIC table that should be in the BIOS, and which is required, to self-activate the OEM_SLP Product Key in use here.

    The solution is to change the Product Key to the one on your COA sticker (on your machine's case) - to do this, open System Properties, and at the bottom of the page, there is a link to Change Product Key.
    Click on that and follow the instructions. You will need to take the option to Activate by phone.

    Ignore the error message - it simply means that it could not create the files for possible email. The paste should still work
