  • Question

  • Bought Office Profesional 2007 with 3 licences, it installed just fine on 2 computers with vista systems.  It won't install on laptop with windows 7, can't get it to even reconise the disk.   I have reinstalled my old office home and student 2007 no problems and other programs.  can anyone help as to why the Office Professional disk can't even be recognised?

  • Hello kcrowe,

In order to receive the best support, we request all users initially download and run the Genuine Diagnostics tool at this link http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012. Click "Run" several times to download and start the Utility.  When asked, click the "Continue" button.  When the utility completes its run, click the "Copy" button, then come back here and paste the report into your post.

By the way, genuine retail packages for Office Professsional 2007 allow up to two simultaneous installations and activations on the license holder's personal computers.  There is no such thing as a 3-license retail package for Office Professional 2007.

The only place that I consistently see Office Professional 2007 advertised as having 3 licenses is in the listings of clueless or unscrupulous vendors on the usual internet auction sites.

To answer your question, occassionally you do run into a disc that one specific computer just does not seem to like.  Burning a copy of the disc on another computer and then using the copy in the finicky computer has worked for me in the past.
