CRM Insights Sync Invalid Client / Authentication Error RRS feed

  • I'm receiving an invalid_client/authentication error during the initial syncing of the insights (InsideView) solution within CRM Online. The installation and attempted syncing was performed under a user that has a system administrator role in CRM and is the global admin within the associated Azure AD/Office 365 account. Following the install guide, I set the required trusted sights, imported the solution, clicked "Start", and granted Insights access. This was successful in so far as the Insights application is listed under in Azure AD Applications with permissions to the Azure AD. However, after granting access and during the "Creating the user in Azure..." phase, I eventually got this error:

    invalid_client: ACS50012: Authentication failed. Trace ID: 05d02db4-3721-4e63-87d2-6947301bdae Correlation ID: 3d5bae83-72ed-48b0-a82d-d7632aac53f2 Timestamp: 2014-09-23 14:29:13Z
