CRM 4 outlook client not working. RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I'm having problems getting the CRM 4 outlook addin to work. I see it in the addins, it's checked to load, i can even see the 'Mycrosoft Dynamics CRM' folder on the left side, but there is no toolbar and no 'CRM' menu. When I click on 'Mycrosoft Dynamics CRM'-folder i get the message: 'This folder cannot be opened until Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook is enabled'.

    Things I've tryed:

    • uninstall the outlook client - reboot - reinstall client : no luck
    • running diagnostics : no errors except for 'Outlook might have disabled the MS Dynamics CRM Outlook add-in.' I clicked 'FIX' but no luck.
    • I ran the configuration wizard again: no luck
    • I doublechecked my IE settings. The CRM site is recognised as a intranet site and automatic logon works in IE. My access mode is 'Full admin'. I tryed resetting all IE settings: no luck.

    system info:

    Dynamics CRM 4  on Win2K8 x64 + SQL 2k8 x64 fully patched
    Exchange 2003 on SBS 2K3 fully patched

    Client: Win7 Ultimate + Office 2007 ent fully patched. CRM client without the 'offline' option installed and fully patched.

    for the record: the outlook client is working for other colleagues, so i presume its not a server side problem.
