Outlook 2003 (from my old computer) on new laptop, but I purchased Office 2007 (no outlook) - OGA valid going to do what? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I had installed on a new laptop Outlook 2003, which is mine from an old computer, but now I am getting a OGA validation. I had recently purchased 2007 Office Home (which does not come with Outlook) and installed in the new laptop. My concern is that the OGA message from Outlook 2003 (on the new laptop) makes it sound like it is going to disable Office (2007?) - what is going to happen here?

  • Hello justmetlb,

Office does not loss functionality due to Genuine Status.  In other words, nothing will be disabled.

Ito figure out what the problem is with your Outlook 2003, please download and run the Genuine Diagnostics tool (MGADiag.exe) at this link http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012. Click "Continue", click the "Copy" button then “Paste” the report into a reply message in this thread.

    Thank you,
