Hi, i had to replace my hard drive last night which meant that i had to reinstall vista, I can not find my product key. Have turned the house upside down looking for it.
Can anything be done?

Hello chapas09,
Since you have a retail license for Vista, you should also have the clear plastic round cornered package that you purchased. The product key is on a yellow orange label on the swing-out portion of the package.
If you don't have the package that means that you also don't have the Certificate of Authenticity, which is affixed to the outside top of the plastic package. That is unfortunate, because without the CoA Microsoft may not honor your request to be given a new product key.
