Upgrade to 4.0. CRM Outlook Clients RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,
The client machines are using Outlook to access CRM 3.0

I'm now going to upgrade to CRM 4.0. Do I have to uninstall the current CRM Outlook Client or can I upgrade that as well?

In case of uinstalllation, does every user manually have to remove it?

    Thanks

  • Hi,

The path we take is un-installing and rebooting 3.0 and re-install 4.0. It seems to be the path recommended by most resellers.

For what it's worth I still have a CRM icon from 3.0 days on my outlook client and haven't invested the time to try and remove it.

    Cheers,

  • Thanks Karlo,

Do you also know if the user themselves have to uninstall, or could it be done by using Group Policy?

The users are worldwide, so I'm trying to find the most convenient way for them...
