Can't install Project Server 2010

Question
-
I recently installed on my server SharePoint 2010, SQL Server 2008 is on another box and all seems to work fine, except that when I try to install Project Server 2010 it keeps telling me that I need ton install SP 2010. This SP is supposed to be a migration from 2007, but I still haven't attached the old DBs because the guide says that all the DBs should be attached togheter and one some of this are from our old Project Server, so I thought to install first Project Server and then attach ALL the DBs.
I can load the SharePoint Central Administration and configure and check all, so I don't think that I by mistake installed/activated the Foundations version.
I already checked that the required edition of SP is the Enterprise Edition, as far as I remember that is the edition I activated because I used our Product Key for the "SharePoint Server 2010 For Internet Sites Enterprise", but to double check this (and correct it if I am wrong) I went to the 'Convert License Type' page and not only it does NOT show what my current license is (information is empty), but also the box to type a new Key is disabled, so I am not allowed to try to change the one used.
I have installed on SharePoint and on Project all the prerequisites and they say all is installed correctly and I can proceed, I already executed several times the SP Configuration Wizard and it says everithing is OK.
Can anybody tell me what is going wrong?

Fly67 you need the intranet license (server + CAL): http://sharepoint.microsoft.com/en-us/buy/Pages/default.aspx

Hello Fly67
If you installed SharePoint 2010 and SQL server 2008 on computer A and you are installing Project Server 2010 on computer B, you will also need to install SharePoint 2010 on computer B. Project Server is requires 2010 to be installed.
When you provision Project Server 2010, then you will point to specify where the DBs are.
Cheers!

Hi Michael and Christophe, thanks for your responses, but I am afraid I didn't explained myself very well.
I installed SQL Server 2008 SP1 CU 5 on machine B.
I installed SharePoint Server 2010 on machine A.
Both servers have Windows Server 2008 R2 with all their updates.
I already checked the tecnet link (Deploy Project Server 2010 to a server farm environment http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc197479.aspx) and done almost all that states, but now that you mentioned there is one thing I didn't do... the configuration of Analysis Services, and that because I didn't have installed Analysis Services on my SQL Server. I wasn't aware that this is required for Project Server, but in case it is I am now installing that and Reporting Services (just in case) on my SQL Server Instance. I'll post here if that solves the problem.

By the way, Why is that my Current License shows nothing about my SharePoint 2010 already installed?

So what's the exact issue please? Can you see the Project Server service in the SP admin page (manage services)? Have you check the ULS logs for more information?

The issue is that when I try to install Project Server 2010, it says that it is "unable to proceed because SharePoint Server 2010 Enterprise Edition is required to be installed on this computer" and of course IT IS already installed and configured.Monday, October 4, 2010 10:40 PM

Thank you very much Christophe, Does this mean that SP 2010 for Internet Sites Enterprise is NOT compatible with Project Server?

Thank you very much for your help, I will install the correct version. Now I have to check if I should uninstall the previous edition or simpli install on top of it.Tuesday, October 5, 2010 2:10 PM
