Okay, my HP has been causing me troubles for the past few months, first, the wireless driver went missing, then i installed the updates from hp, got into the bluescreen thing, unable to start the laptop, so i sent in to reformat, the wireless driver wasnt working still, so i sent the laptop to the HP service centre, they called and said that i have to replace the motherboard, something about overheating or some sort (forgive me, im a total beginner at this)
now, i got my laptop back, but i need to reactivate my windows? the HP agent was clueless about this, im even more clueless! i typed in the product key from the COA at the back of my laptop but it says "product key is in use" help please? do i need to buy a new product key? cant i just use the old original one? or request a product key update software or some sort? please, i've spent alot for the motherboard, i dont want to spend more buying Vista AGAIN!
Do a telephonic activation by following the instructions in the section "If you cannot activate Windows Vista over the Internet" in the following MS KB article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940315For great advice on all topics XP, visit http://www.annoyances.org/exec/forum/winxp
