Delete Button Keyboard Shortcut on Emails

Question

Why is the Keyboard Shortcut for Deleting an Email CTRL + D ??? That doesn't work in IE 9 because it just offers to make that page one of your Favorites!!!! Why did the CRM team do this? Has anyone found a workaround for this?
thanks!

It seems that Ctrl+D behaves differently when you put the cursor in the rich text editor, in which case it would open Add to Favorites window. If you click anywhere else on the form, Ctrl+D will give you the ability to delete the record.
My testing was done in IE10, CRM2011 with UR12.

It is Ctrl+D. Just tried it in our CRM system and it worked. Also, check it out here:

wikky,
I know that Cntrl-D is the shortcut for deleting emails in Dynamics.
However, it is also the shortcut for creating a Favorite in in Internet Explorer. See below for what I get if I hit Cntrl-D when I have an email selected...
You must not be using IE.
If you know a away around this, using IE please let me know.

NateOne--I am using IE. Not sure why your CRM is operating differently. Maybe it is an IE setting to turn off under Options? Just an idea.Tuesday, April 2, 2013 12:55 PM

Wikky,
What version of IE? I get this behavior in 9 and 10...

IE 9, but I just realized something--what you are talking about is selecting an email from the view and deleting it; I had the actual email record open. Ctrl+D only works for records when they are open (see Form shortcuts--http://community.dynamics.com/crm/b/crmsoftwareblog/archive/2011/08/24/using-keyboard-shortcuts-in-microsoft-dynamics-crm-2011.aspx#.UVrW9xxebzw). I'm afraid I don't know what the command is for deleting it from the view.Tuesday, April 2, 2013 1:05 PM
