    anyone can please help me out by telling what are the products to get into making projects for Microsoft Academic project progammme.i am a novice at making projects so some guidelines needed so that i can start my work..please help

    Well you can find all the information on msapp.net under technologies Section from where you can find all tools you have in your hand . Just choose your tools depending on the application you want to design and download them from the link provided.

    For further query . post here . You can use the Project Scenario Template for Understanding what all is required in the project. under Downloads Section.

    hey shirish,

    first let me thank you for such quick response of yours.i have followed the procedure that u have told me to follow and i already visited the site msapp.net .Now i what i really needed help in that i  am a novice in making projects.Now i really wanted to join the Microsoft Academic Projects programme.i have knowledge in C,C++,Java and Unix,Linux administration and a bit of Visual Basic.

    Now i really want to start off doing projects and for the necessity of that i am ready to learn more technologies as the demand of the projects goes..i dont have any friends to join me in this project so i have to do all this all by myself..and being novice i am facing quite a difficulty in starting off with my work..i have seen the workflow of the programme and i really dont know how to go about it actually.can you please guide me through..i am ready to learn anything for this need..bit i dont know what to do exactly.please help me so that i can start my work as soon as possible..

    Well you are welcome.. Since Academic project demands that students from same college can participate as team.. so i can only help you out with your questions..

    Just go thru. the Project Scenario Template.. Lets say you have to design Hospital management System. Now start defining the requirements of your system , its constraints .. everything from top to bottom..

    Finalize a design document for that detailing everything regarding technology used, interfaces , methodology ..

    Then Design your code based on that design... and try to improve any errors etc..

    The basic point is you should know what you are developing from top to bottom ... almost every phase clearly defined.

    What all people will be affected by that and how .. Try to make the life easier using technology...

    First select your topic and then start thinking ...

    i will need to thank you once again regarding your answering my problem.now i can understand jolly well thats its the topic i need to decide first .

    okie now lets take it for granted that i decide on the topic then what tool do i need to design this project of mine.like that should be done using some software or technology.now what is it that is required to design a project..

    by the time u reply this post i promise i am gonna decide on the topic.and another thing is that are u really sure that the required students should necessarily be from the same college..

    anyways thanks once again..u are acting like me mentor this new world that i am about to explore..
