OneCare Beta - Windows update disabling + online chat not available - HELP! RRS feed

  • I have been beta testing OneCare v2.0 with photo backup.  I am also have a fully paid up subscription until next July and this is shown on my setting screen.  All has been pretty successful but I have a couple of questions/queries.


    1.       When I reboot my PC, I always get a red OneCare symbol stating that windows updates have been disabled and I always have to go in to settings and turn them on.  I didn’t have this problem before the beta.

    2.       When I tried to get online help for this, the support website would not recognise my product id and let me into the livechat or email support applications.


    Could you let me know what I should do.  Will I need to uninstall the beta and reinstall V2.0 live once it is launched?  Will my subscription info be kept?  I am using a temporary windows live id for the beta as you suggested.  Should I now revert to my standard liveid?


    I would appreciate some help on these items.
