Powershell can only execute few command RRS feed

  • Question

  • I used to chcange the environment variable "Path" for the "Path" is too long to contain more variable.

Unfortunately, I make a problem that I can't use most command like "ping", "ipconfig", "py" etc. I have set environment variable like "%SystemRoot%\system32", "C:\Program Files\Python36\Scripts" in "Path". These command can execute in cmd, while I  failed to execute in powershell

When I put $env:path in powershell, it can print the right  variable like:

And When I execute the command "powershell" in cmd, and execute some command that it can't execute in powershell directly, it work:

It's very strange. I try to search the solution in google but get nothing.

Can anybody tell me how to solve this problem? Or tell me how to reinstall powershell in window 10 (

    Thank you very much
