Disabling One care Antivirus Software when installing new hardware RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have purchased a Logitech Pro 9000 webcam and have been advised to disable Antivirus software during the installation of the appropriate software for the webcam. The only way to do this with Onecare seems to be to carry out the uninstall/re-install process which is tedious.

This in itself is not a massive problem but the knock on effect of having to establish a new backup file of 14GB + to an external hard drive after the re-installation is annoying. Why does the software not recognise an up to date  backup file which existed before the un-installation process was started
